A traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a type of injury that occurs when an external force, such as a blow to the head or a penetrating injury, causes damage to the brain.

The severity of a TBI can range from mild, such as a brief change in mental status or consciousness, to severe, such as an extended period of unconsciousness or memory loss.

TBIs can result from a variety of causes, including car accidents, falls, sports injuries, and assaults. Symptoms of a TBI can include headaches, dizziness, confusion, memory loss, difficulty concentrating, and changes in mood or behavior.

You have probably already seen a Neurologist and had imaging evaluation, such as MRI.   At Lifespan Integrative Medicine, we take a holistic, multi-modality approach to treating brain injury/concussion and stroke.  Our treatments are customized to you, and may include hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), peptide therapy, targeted IV nutrients, and more.
