Alicia Halikas, PA

Functional Medicine Specialist

Alicia completed her undergraduate studies at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biokinetics with a minor in Psychology. She co-authored two published papers on the effect of diet and its reversal to chronic illness, including mild cognitive impairment, diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia. She was a Medical Mission Coordinator assisting practitioners in providing medical treatment to those in need in the Philippines.


She received her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Des Moines University in Iowa.


She is an experienced functional medicine practitioner who has spent many years helping patients battling cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, mold toxicity, chronic fatigue, Lyme Disease, hormonal imbalances, gut disturbances, metabolic syndrome, mental health, developmental issues, weight loss, cardiovascular issues, environmental toxin issues, and many other chronic illnesses.


Alicia has been working closely with Dr. Thomas Seyfried, PHD and Miriam Kalamian in giving patients an adjunct to their metabolic health journey.


She genuinely enjoys empowering and encouraging others to take action in their health to be the healthiest version of themselves. Alicia has an interest in nutritional IV therapies, HBOT, and many other complementary modalities. 


Outside of her passion to help patients achieve their health goals, she also loves coaching children in soccer, which she played in college. She loves to discover improvements she can make in her nutrition, for not only herself but also for her patients and family. In her free time, she loves to do calligraphy and to create new healthy recipes. She is an empathetic, perseverant, and engaging individual who is always finding new ways to touch the lives of others in a positive way.
